A Moreno Valley Man was arrested on suspicion of murder, but others could be involved

Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit have continued to investigate the murder of Kevin Henderson, which occurred in Moreno Valley, on Sunday, June 7 of 2020.
Deputies from the Moreno Valley Station responded to the 24000 block of Myers Avenue, in Moreno Valley, to investigate a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they located Kevin Henderson, 43-year-old resident of Moreno Valley, who was suffering after he received a shot outside of his apartment on the 24000 block of Myers Avenue.
Deputies began life saving measures but were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced at the scene. The suspect fled prior to deputies arrival and Investigators from the Moreno Valley Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded and have assumed the investigation.
The long search bore fruit when on May 6, 2022, Darnell Frederick Tate, a 32-year-old resident of Moreno Valley, was arrested for his involvement in Henderson’s murder. The Central Homicide Unit has information which leads them to believe there are additional suspects involved in Henderson’s murder. Investigators are seeking the public’s help with any additional information which may lead to future arrests.
