Lake Elsinore Woman Impersonates DoorDash Driver To Burglarize Home

Date:

A Lake Elsinore woman impersonated a delivery driver to case a home before clearing two men to break in to rob the house, according to Alhambra police.

Officers responded to a call in the 3300 block of Balzac Street after Kennisha Powell was recorded standing outside the home holding a brown paper bag and apparently talking to a resident of the house through a security camera, asking if they had ordered DoorDash, police said in an Instagram post late last month.

Once the woman confirmed the home was vacant, she waited outside as a lookout and sent in Dejon Brown of Baldwin Park and Jerry Mullens of Los Angeles, who jumped the fence and forced entry, according to police.

All three were taken into custody and charged with residential burglary, police said.
