On February 19, 2023, about 11:03 PM, deputies responded to a report of a major-injury traffic collision on Limonite Avenue near the intersection of Bain Street, in the city of Jurupa Valley. Deputies arrived on-scene to find a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. The operator of the motorcycle was found unconscious nearby suffering from life-threatening injuries. The operator of the motorcycle was transported to a local area hospital to be treated for the injuries.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The preliminary investigation revealed the motorcycle was traveling east bound on Limonite Avenue at a high rate of speed when the operator lost control of the motorcycle and struck a pole and fire hydrant, shearing off the fire hydrant.

This investigation is ongoing as further information and evidence is received. The identity of the involved parties will not be released at this time pending the completion of the investigation.
