One Person Stabbed in Road Rage Incident

On Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 12:44 PM, deputies from the Southwest Sheriff’s Station responded to the 28400 block of Old Town Front Street, in Temecula, regarding a stabbing that occurred in the roadway in front of several businesses. When deputies arrived, they located a 35-year-old male adult near the sidewalk suffering from multiple stab wounds. Deputies obtained the suspect’s vehicle license plate number and learned the suspect fled the area in a dark colored vehicle. A short time later, deputies located and arrested the suspect, 43-year-old Rigoberto Reyes-Reyes, a resident of Temecula, in the 42200 block of Main Street in Temecula. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in stable condition. The investigation revealed the crime was a result of a road rage incident that occurred minutes prior to the stabbing.

Reyes-Reyes was booked at Cois M. Byrd Detention Center for attempted murder. Reyes-Reyes’ current bail is 1,000,000.00.
