Paleta Festival coming to Ramona Bowl Amphitheatre Sept. 19-20

HEMET — The Southern California Ice Cream & Paleta Festival is coming to the Ramona Bowl Amphitheatre for a two-day celebration on Saturday, Sept. 19, and Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026.

The festival will run from 3 to 10 p.m. each day at the amphitheatre, 27400 Ramona Bowl Road in Hemet. Organizers describe the event as a cultural, culinary and entertainment celebration centered on ice cream and paletas.

General-admission tickets start at $15. Tickets and additional information are available through Paleta Festival organizers and Eventbrite. Evening concert tickets are listed at $35.

Kohler booked on murder, hit-run death after Palm Avenue scooter crash

Mason Drew Kohler, 31, was booked on felony murder, hit-and-run death, and DUI charges, according to the Riverside County jail roster, which lists a Hemet PD arrest at Palm Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue. Hemet police say two pedestrians on an electric scooter were struck there about 6:55 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22; one was pronounced dead. Police have not named the driver, and the decedent's identity remains withheld.
