ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Knott’s Berry Farm is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the first publication of Charles Schulz’s “Peanuts” comic strip in a big way, after the theme park announced a new musical and exhibit dedicated to the artist Tuesday.
The musical show, titled “Let’s Celebrate,” will perform weekends on the Calico Mine Stage in the theme park. A nightly show, “Snoopy’s Legendary Rooftop Concert,” will also be staged at the Calico Mine featuring Schulz’s characters and band act The Jelly of the Month Club.
At Calico’s Town Hall, a new exhibit dedicated to the life of Schulz will focus on his personal history from Minnesota to California and his creations.
The theme park will also offer sketching lessons on the Peanuts characters at the Bird Cage Theatre.
The celebration also features a Peanuts Cowboy Jamboree and Pigpen’s Pig Pen where guests can enjoy the animals in the Livery Stables.
The new weekend attractions will begin Feb. 8 and run through March 9.
