‘Dozens’ Of Bus Drivers Wanted At RTA Hemet: Here’s How To Apply

Date:

HEMET, CA — The Riverside Transit Agency said a job fair this Saturday in Hemet will include on-site interviews to expedite the hiring process, as the agency seeks to add dozens of bus drivers for various routes.

The recruitment event is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the RTA facility at 700 Scaramella Circle.

The focus will be on recruiting up to 50 “community bus drivers” who can operate the agency’s mid-size fleet, serving routes across western Riverside County, officials said.

“The starting hourly rate is $26.27, with a generous benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance coverage, CalPERS retirement, paid holidays and sick days, basic life insurance and more,” according to an RTA statement.

Applicants should be prepared to present their driver’s licenses, as well as printouts of their driving history provided by the California Department of Motor Vehicles.

“Walk-ins are welcome,” the RTA stated. “We will conduct on-site assessments, and qualified applicants may receive same-day offers.”
