Drugs, weapons and a stolen motorcycle seized as 74 arrested in Hemet, San Jacinto

A combined law enforcement operation on Friday, Dec. 12 involving 10 different agencies resulted in 74 arrests for various offenses in Hemet and San Jacinto, authorities said.

Officers conducted parole and probation checks, traffic stops and other enforcement actions that resulted in the seizure of a variety of illegal drugs including methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, ecstasy and PCP, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Multiple firearms were also confiscated, along with several felons found to be in possession of illegal weapons, the department said. Authorities also discovered a stolen motorcycle whose driver led deputies on a pursuit through the area before he was taken into custody in the city of Riverside, the department said.

The effort included 80 personnel from the RCSD, Banning Police Department, Hemet Police Department, Palm Springs Police Department, Beaumont Police Department, Riverside County Probation, Menifee Police Department, California Department of Corrections Parole, Riverside County Probation and the California Highway Patrol.
