Cornerstone’s Annual Wildomar 5K

Date:

Runners of all ages are invited to lace up their shoes for the Wildomar 5K and 10K Race, set for June 6, 2026, at Marna O’Brien Park. Organizers say the annual event is designed to be a family-friendly morning filled with running, music, and community activities.

The race will feature three different events to accommodate participants of all experience levels: a 5K race, a 10K race, and a Kids Fun Run. A professional passive timing system provided by Fusion Timing will be used, with race results displayed live during the event and posted online afterward.

The 5K race will begin at 8 a.m. and will follow a mostly flat route through parts of Wildomar. The course includes a mix of pavement, gravel and dirt sections. Entry costs $40 through April 15 and increases to $50 afterward. Participants will receive a race bib, commemorative T-shirt and finisher’s medal, with trophies awarded by age group and gender.

For runners looking for a longer challenge, the 10K race will also start at 8 a.m. and follow a similar route. While the 5K runners will loop back earlier, 10K participants will continue along an extended section of the course before returning to the finish. Registration is $50 before April 15 and $60 after. Like the 5K, the race includes a medal, race shirt and awards for top finishers.

Young athletes can take part in the Kids Fun Run, scheduled for 10 a.m. The approximately 1-kilometer course will be held inside Marna O’Brien Park and is open to children ages 4 to 12. Organizers say the run will include fun elements such as bubbles along the route, and parents are welcome to accompany their children. The registration fee is $25, which includes a T-shirt and finisher’s medal.

Organizers say the event is about more than running. All proceeds from the race will support local nonprofit organizations that provide services such as housing assistance, pregnancy support programs and food distribution for families in need.

The Wildomar race has become a popular annual gathering that brings residents together for fitness, fun and a shared commitment to helping the community.
