1200 Marijuana Plants and $140,000 in Cash were Located During Illegal Marijuana Investigation

On March 10, 2022, at 8:40 am, Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Problem Oriented Policing Team responded to the 13000 block of Sesame Rd., in the city of Moreno Valley and the 24200 block of Gingerwood Pl., in Diamond Bar, regarding an ongoing illegal marijuana cultivation investigation. At the Moreno Valley residence, approximately 1200 marijuana plants, in various stages of growth, and items consistent with illegal cultivation, were located. At the Diamond Bar residence, 5pounds of processed marijuana, one firearm, over $140,000 in cash, and items related to the Moreno Valley illegal marijuana grow, were located.

Qinshun Chen 65-years-old and Zhoulin Zhong 36-years-old, both residents of Diamond Bar, were arrested for illegal marijuana cultivation and later booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.

The goal of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is to improve the quality of life for those residing within the communities we serve. “Community Policing” involves partnerships between law enforcement and community members.
