Driving under the influence is a criminal offense in all states, which means anyone convicted of a DUI will have a criminal record when all is said and done. The thing is, most people arrested for DUI are hardly criminals in the real sense of the word. The event, originally scheduled for two days in April, was extended to three days from Aug. 30 through Sept. 1 in order to maintain social distancing for 30 four-member teams each day.

At its September 8, 2020 meeting, the Hemet City Council approved two resolutions to bring a skate park to the community. In 2018, at the public’s request, the City Council approved a feasibility study to work directly with community members to understand their vision for the skate park. The City Council then approved an allocation of $68,500 to complete the community outreach process, finalize the skate plaza design scheme, and develop detailed construction drawings.
