Barbers, artists help defy vaccine myths for people of color

SAN DIEGO (AP) — In a Washington, D.C., suburb, Black and Latino barbers are busting myths about the coronavirus vaccine while clipping hair.

On Wednesday, April 14th, 2021, at 2:00 P.M., deputies assigned to the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team responded to a hotel in the 24000 block of Sunnymead Boulevard, in the city of Moreno Valley, reference trespassers in a room at the hotel. Upon reaching the room, deputies contacted McArthur Bartlett, a 27-year-old transient of Moreno Valley, and documented criminal street gang member.

Capitol Police watchdog says force needs ‘cultural change’

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Capitol Police force needs “cultural change” after the broad failures of the Jan. 6 insurrection, the top watchdog for the department testified Thursday, pointing to inadequate training and outdated weaponry as among several urgent problems facing the force.

Search Warrant / Narcotic and Weapons Arrest

On April 14, 2021, at 6:00 A.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT) and the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team (SET), served a search warrant at a residence in the 84-400 block of Julia Drive in the city of Coachella. The search warrant stemmed from a shooting investigation CCAT was conducting.

Prosecutors: No charges for officer in Capitol riot shooting

WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal prosecutors will not charge a police officer who shot and killed a woman as she climbed through the broken part of a door during the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, the Justice Department said Wednesday.
