Fatal Hit and Run Traffic Collision

On May 25, 2021, about 11:47 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Moreno Valley Station, responded to the report of a major injury traffic collision near the intersection of Iris Avenue and Camino Flores, in the city of Moreno Valley. As deputies arrived on-scene, a gold, 2005 Toyota Camry, was found fully engulfed in flames, with an unresponsive occupant inside the passenger compartment. Personnel from CalFire responded to the location and extinguished the fire; after which, the driver, and sole occupant of the Toyota, was determined to be deceased.
