The number of passengers at Ontario International Airport (ONT) was nearly 478,000 in July, 97% of the total passenger count recorded in July 2019, officials announced today. Last month's figure was also 171% higher than July last year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Department of Veterans Affairs’ Office of Research and Development transitioned all its research sites nationwide and its Central Institutional Review Board, June 30, to the IRBNet  platform that will streamline research on behalf of Veterans.

On August 15, 2021, at approximately 2:00 p.m., San Jacinto deputies responded to the 800 block of Minor Street, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arriving, they located a 36-year-old resident of San Jacinto, suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.

On Sunday, August 15, 2021, about 10:21 A.M., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Jurupa Valley Station, responded to the report of a major injury collision near the intersection of Limonite Avenue and Etiwanda Avenue, in the city of Jurupa Valley. Deputies arrived on-scene to find a vehicle and a bicyclist involved, a black 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and a black motorized bicycle. The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured and remained on scene. He cooperated with the investigation, was interviewed and released at the scene.

Mayor Karlee Meyer presided over this week’s City Council get-together appearing hale and hardy as ever with a sense of humor unequaled in local politics. Once the preliminaries were over the Council settled down to business at a more rapid pace than in recent meetings.
