Ontario International Airport reports July passenger traffic reached 97% of pre-COVID level

The number of passengers at Ontario International Airport (ONT) was nearly 478,000 in July, 97% of the total passenger count recorded in July 2019, officials announced today. Last month's figure was also 171% higher than July last year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon

On August 15, 2021, at approximately 2:00 p.m., San Jacinto deputies responded to the 800 block of Minor Street, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arriving, they located a 36-year-old resident of San Jacinto, suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Fatal Traffic Collision – Sunday, August 15

On Sunday, August 15, 2021, about 10:21 A.M., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Jurupa Valley Station, responded to the report of a major injury collision near the intersection of Limonite Avenue and Etiwanda Avenue, in the city of Jurupa Valley. Deputies arrived on-scene to find a vehicle and a bicyclist involved, a black 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and a black motorized bicycle. The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured and remained on scene. He cooperated with the investigation, was interviewed and released at the scene.
