Illegal Firearm Arrest – Tuesday September 14, 2021

On Tuesday September 14, 2021, at approximately 7:15 PM Gang Task Force Officers were patrolling the area of 500 West Florida Avenue, when they conducted a vehicle check on a Dodge Charger for multiple vehicle code violations. Task Force Officers contacted the driver, Ivan Torres. An inventory search of the vehicle was conducted and a 9mm Handgun, with an altered serial number was found. Torres is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm. Torres was arrested on multiple weapons charges and later transported to Riverside County Jail.

Illegal Firearm and Narcotics Arrest

On Thursday, September 17, 2021, at approximately 11:30 PM, Gang Task Force Officers were patrolling the area of 900 West Florida Avenue, when they conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a Chevy Truck for multiple vehicle code violations. Task Force Officers contacted the driver, Brian Deboe, who was found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license.  An inventory search of the vehicle was conducted and a fully loaded, 9mm Handgun found.

Fatal Traffic Collision

On Monday, September 20, 2021, about 6:31 P.M., deputies responded to the report of a major injury traffic collision near the intersection of Goodman Way and Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road. When Cal Fire personnel arrived on scene, they located a Hispanic male adult who had been struck by a vehicle. The subject was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Illegal Firearm Arrest

On Wednesday September 8, 2021 at approximately 9:50 PM, Region 3 Gang Task Force Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the 300 Block of South State Street, in the City of Hemet, County of Riverside. Task Force Officers contacted the driver, Gilbert McGlothen, who was found to driving on a suspended driver’s license. McGlothen was asked to step out of the vehicle and as he did, Task Force Officers removed a loaded handgun from his pocket.

Sexual Assault of a Child

On Wednesday, September 15th, 2021, Hemet Investigators received information that a staff member of the San Jacinto Unified School District was implicated in an inappropriate relationship with a minor within the school district. Before any investigation could be conducted, the school district placed the employee on administrative leave. Deputies and Investigators from the San Jacinto station immediately began investigating the case.
