Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Reminds Drivers to Look Out and Always Stop for Trick-or-Treaters Halloween Night. San Jacinto, Calif. – With traditional in-person Halloween activities resuming this year, the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station encourages everyone on the road to be extra careful as more children are out walking the neighborhood and collecting candy.
On October 24, 2021, at 9:59 AM, deputies from the Colorado River Station responded to the 44000 block of Ragsdale Rd., in the unincorporated area of Riverside County, regarding a theft in progress. Property owners reported seeing several male subjects stealing catalytic converters and other vehicle parts from the location.
On Saturday, October 23, 2021, about 9:58 a.m., deputies responded to the intersection of Railroad Canyon Dr. and Church Rd., in the city of Lake Elsinore, regarding a major injury traffic collision.
On Friday, October 22, 2021, at 12:00 P.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force conducted a probation check at a residence located in the 31000 block of Las Flores Way in Thousand Palms. During the probation check Gang Task Force Officers located two 9mm semi-auto handguns, ammunition, suspected methamphetamine and military issued body armor.
Responding to complaints about homelessness, Riverside is stepping up security across its parks. The police department will assign non-sworn officers, known as specialists, to help the homeless access mental health services. The program will cost $2.4 million the first year and $2 million in future years.
