Illegal Marijuana Cultivation Search Warrants

On Saturday, February 27, 2021, personnel from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and the Cannabis Regulation Task Force served narcotic related search warrants at nine separate residences located in the cities of Hemet and San Jacinto.

Homicide

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department continued its investigation into the death of the female juvenile in this case and made an additional arrest. On Saturday, February 27, 2021, Jeremiah David Carlton, 19 years old out of Canyon Lake was arrested for murder and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center. This investigation continues and no additional details are currently available.

Two Arrested in Possession of a Handgun

On Thursday February 25, 2021 at 4:28 pm, Gang Task Force personnel conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Lake Park Drive and Soboba Springs Drive, in the City of San Jacinto, County of Riverside. Task Force Officers contacted Ramon Mora and Charlotte Arres. Mora is a documented criminal street gang member and on California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Parole for attempted murder.

Possession of a Firearm Arrest

On Friday 26, 2021 at 12:00 PM, Gang Task Force Officers were patrolling the area of 3600 West Devonshire Avenue, in the City of Hemet, County of Riverside. Task Force Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a Chevy Sport Utility Vehicle for an equipment violation and contacted the driver; Kristyna Slaydon. Slaydon was found to have several felony arrest warrants and was driving with a suspended Driver’s License. Slaydon was detained without incident. During a search of the vehicle, a fully loaded, 9mm handgun was located inside of Slaydon’s purse. Slaydon was arrested on multiple weapons charges and later transported to the local jail.

City Residents Have Their Say

On Tuesday, February 23, City Council convened, minus one council member. Linda Krupa was excused, but there were enough council members present to meet a quorum. There were many items on the agenda. Although it was originally planned, the vote on Measure U appointees was delayed due to Ms. Krupa’s absence.
