RivCo fugitive wanted for sex crimes against children found in Mexico

A 75-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting three girls in San Jacinto and fleeing south of the border prior to a court appearance last year was apprehended in Mexico and extradited back to the United States, authorities said today.

1200 Marijuana Plants and $140,000 in Cash were Located During Illegal Marijuana Investigation

On March 10, 2022, at 8:40 am, Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Problem Oriented Policing Team responded to the 13000 block of Sesame Rd., in the city of Moreno Valley and the 24200 block of Gingerwood Pl., in Diamond Bar, regarding an ongoing illegal marijuana cultivation investigation. At the Moreno Valley residence, approximately 1200 marijuana plants, in various stages of growth, and items consistent with illegal cultivation, were located. At the Diamond Bar residence, 5pounds of processed marijuana, one firearm, over $140,000 in cash, and items related to the Moreno Valley illegal marijuana grow, were located.

Homicide Leads to Arrest

On Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 11:52 PM, deputies from the Hemet Station responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon in the area of Thornton Ave and Hemet St in the unincorporated area of Hemet. Deputies learned a male adult had been transported to a local hospital and later died due to the injuries. Deputies secured the area and began an investigation.

New IEHP Program Combats Loneliness and Depression

Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) has partnered with Pyx Health in a new program to support Members experiencing loneliness, anxiety or depression. The partnership connects 70,000 Members to support services for mental health screenings.

Body, Mind & Spirit Celebrated at Soboba

Kelli Hurtado of “Let’s Get Moving Mondays” hosted a Body, Mind & Spirit Wellness Fair at the Soboba Sports Complex on March 13. About 30 vendors, located inside and outside the gymnasium, shared health-related information and items with hundreds of guests who attended throughout the six-hour event.
