Son of Buffalo victim pushes Congress: ‘What are you doing?’

The son of Ruth Whitfield, an 86-year-old woman killed when a gunman opened fire in a racist attack on Black shoppers in Buffalo, New York, challenged Congress Tuesday to act against the “cancer of white supremacy” and the nation’s epidemic of gun violence.

Our family once took a few days off to visit Orange County and while there, we visited a local mall. My husband gave our two daughters some spending money and told them they could buy whatever they wanted. Of course, they were more than thrilled and ran off to spend their wad. We met up with them an hour or so later.

Statewide Initiative Supports Behavioral Health of I.E. Youth
