On Saturday, July 30, 2022, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to the 4000 block of Main Street in the city of Riverside, regarding the report of vandalism to the Riverside County Historic Courthouse.

On July 29, 2022, Investigators received positive identification of the victim. The victim has been identified as Jesus M. Hernandez, a 35-year-old resident of Coachella. Investigators have made next of kin notification. Based on the on-going investigation, this case is being investigated as a homicide.

On July 28, 2022, at 7:35 P.M., members of the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) conducted a traffic stop at Cesar Chavez and Avenue 50 in the city of Coachella. During a search of the vehicle, approximately two pounds of suspected methamphetamine was located and seized.
