The Department of Veterans Affairs announced that Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors can now report incidents of sexual assault or sexual harassment at VA facilities by calling 1-800-MyVA411 (1-800-698-2411, option 9).

On June 21, 2023, as part of a human trafficking investigation, the Palm Desert Business District Team, Special Enforcement Team, and Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force served a search warrant at a spa business in the 74000 block of Alessandro Drive, in the City of Palm Desert.

On June 20, 2023, the Palm Desert Investigations Bureau and Riverside County Gang Impact Team served a search warrant in the 66000 block of San Remo in Desert Hot Springs.  Daniel Santacroce, a 19-year-old resident of Desert Hot Springs, was arrested for his involvement in this shooting.
