President Biden is planning a swing through Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area later this month to raise money for what is almost assured to be a rematch against former President Trump in the November election.

I have learned that at least one courtroom at the Larson Justice Center in Indio is vacant since a qualified judge is not available for duty. Due to a lack of judges here in the Coachella Valley, commuting judges from the areas of both Temecula and San Bernardino are assigned cases here. The net result in the lack of local judges is resulting in excessive waits at the Indio courthouse and delays in justice for our citizenry.

Mail-in ballots for the March 5 election have started to arrive and in Riverside County are causing some confusion. Some residents are having trouble seeing the ovals, or bubbles, printed next to candidates’ names, and said they aren’t sure how to mark their choices.

Here’s the short version. In 2005 I bought a house, hindsight I couldn’t afford it, adjustable rate and well, you remember. A few years later the bank took that house. Fortunately, I’ve had a good career and have always been able to support myself.

Just blocks from the shuttered Bethlehem Steel plant, the Hispanic Center Lehigh Valley was bustling on a recent day with scores of older people eating lunch. Downstairs, out of sight, a constant stream of visitors was shopping in its massive food pantry.
