4 New SoCal Michelin Restaurants To Try For Easter Sunday

Date:

LOS ANGELES, CA — Easter’s a holy day, but if you want to feel like you’ve truly ascended to heaven, consider eating at four SoCal restaurants that were recently added to the prestigious Michelin Guide for 2025.

The Michelin Guide added seven new SoCal restaurants in March, but just four are open for Easter. While you can currently make online reservations for Sunday, April 20, it’s still best to call ahead to double check. Business hours and phone numbers are included below.

  1. Rasarumah: Los Angeles (Rampart Village)

This innovative Chinese-Malaysian restaurant from Chef Jonny Lee offers delicious, exotic meals like steamed eggplant with sambal and dried shrimp, or ulama bendi with charred okra. Michelin judges particularly appreciated the beef rendang in curry accompanied by buttery roti, and the cendol sundae dessert.

2. Restaurant Ki: Downtown Los Angeles

This restaurant offers an exciting new take on Korean food, and specializes in expertly-prepared meats. Enjoy barbecue-roasted squab with foie gras sauce, and 45-day dry-aged dairy cow with golden beet jus and Korean bone broth, complemented by unusual desserts like a mushroom ice cream sandwich.

111 San Pedro Street, Los Angeles. 213-786-3154. Open Wednesday to Sunday 6:30 to 9 p.m. Reserve here.

3. Kusano: Culver City

Pack into this cozy restaurant, where the chef is also a waiter and a bartender. He still finds time to make some of the best sushi in SoCal, including innovative offerings like the Hokkaido uni draped with a thin slice of squid.

10726 Jefferson Boulevard, Culver City. Phone number unavailable. Open Wednesday to Monday from 6-9 p.m. Reserve here.

4. Tomat: Los Angeles (Westchester)

The name says it all: this restaurant specializes in seasonal, farm-fresh California cuisine with an upscale twist. Enjoy zesty items like barbari bread with roasted tomato powder-dusted butter or charred seasonal vegetables over a smooth ajo blanco. Judges especially appreciated the duck, which is “deftly cooked with crispy skin.”

6261 W. 87th Street, Los Angeles. Text 213-548-6188. Open Tuesday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 5 to 8:30 p.m. Reserve here.

The rest of the new Michelin Guide entries may not be open for Easter, but that leaves every other day to enjoy their world-class cuisine and atmosphere. See here for the full list.
