Update:

During the course of this investigation, a suspect was identified in this case. On April 21, 2022, the Central Homicide Unit and Major Crimes Unit served a search warrant at a residence in 15500 block of Morada Rd., Victorville. Reginald Trice III, an 18-year-old resident of Victorville, was arrested for murder, and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center. This case remains an active investigation, and no further details will be released at this time. Update:

The victim in this case was identified as Michael Moser, a 66-year-old resident of Palm Springs. This investigation remains open and no further information will be released at this time.

Details:

On March 24, 2022, at 6:56 p.m., Cabazon Station deputies responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call at the Desert Hills Premium Outlet Stores, 48650 Seminole Dr., Cabazon. Upon arrival, deputies were directed to a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel arrived and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries. The scene was secured, and the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The victim’s identity will not be released pending notification to next of kin.
