Details:

On January 16, 2023, at 1:46 AM, deputies from the Thermal Sheriff’s Station responded to the 91000 block of 6 Street, in the unincorporated area of Mecca, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies arrived and located a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There is no suspect in custody at this time. This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information on this case is encouraged to contact Deputy Luna of the Thermal Sheriff’s Station by calling 760-863-8990.
