Details:

On January 16, 2023, at 1:46 AM, deputies from the Thermal Sheriff’s Station responded to the 91000 block of 6 Street, in the unincorporated area of Mecca, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies arrived and located a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There is no suspect in custody at this time.
