Fatal Traffic Collision
On Sunday, December 26, 2021, about 9:37 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, San Jacinto Station, responded to the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Sanderson Avenue, regarding a report of a major-injury traffic collision. Deputies and AMR arrived and located the two vehicle traffic collision.
Suspicious Death
The victim has been identified as 46 year-old, Jodi Newkirk, a resident of the Mountain Center community. Arrest of Armed Robbery Suspect
On Friday, November 5, 2021, at approximately 4:46 P.M, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Lake Elsinore Station, responded to the report of a robbery in the 3000 block of Lake Crest Drive in the City of Lake Elsinore.
Search Warrant / Weapons Arrest
On December 23, 2021, at 7:00 A.M., the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team, served a search warrant at a residence located in the 91-700 block of Avenue 66 in the unincorporated community of Mecca.
Minor Decoy Operation
On December 21, 2021, about 10:30 AM, Hemet Station deputies, along with the assistance of the Department of Environmental Health, carried out a minor decoy operation to verify merchants do not sell tobacco products, tobacco paraphernalia, vape products or cannabis THC to persons under 21 years of age.
