Jennifer Salazar began working at the Soboba Tribal Environmental Department nearly five years ago as an Environmental Specialist. She was recently promoted to the position of Environmental Manager.

On January 7th 2021, investigators from the Central Homicide Unit arrested a 16 year old juvenile for his involvement in the murder of Blake Paine. The juvenile was booked into Southwest Juvenile Hall without incident. The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges on all three suspects. Investigators do not believe there are any other outstanding suspects. Anyone with information related to Blake Paine’s murder is encouraged to call Investigator Trudeau at 951-955-2777.

On January 13, 2021, at 5:00 A.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), served a search warrant at a residence in the 5100 block of La Ponderosa in the city of Coachella.

On Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 4:29 AM, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to the 12000 Block of December Ct. in Home Gardens reference an elder abuse call.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) began administering COVID-19 vaccinations to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) employees Jan. 6, through an interagency agreement to support DHS’s COVID-19 vaccination program.
