I am a native Desert resident who just recently moved above Palm Desert to a town called Mountain Center which neighbors Hemet, Anza and Banning. This community has been impacted in a good and bad way with visitors enjoying nature and outside activities as they are social distancing.

A judge has banned the leader of the Proud Boys, a far-right extremist group, from the nation’s capital after he was accused of vandalizing a Black Lives Matter banner at a historic Black church and found with high-capacity firearm magazines when he was arrested.

As 2020 came to a close, health officials remember the lives lost during the pandemic and remind residents that, collectively, everyone contributes to slowing the spread of the virus. Coronavirus caused or contributed to the deaths of hundreds of Riverside County residents, including two children under the age of 18.

Although I am sixty years old, I am doing it! I heard somewhere that our bodies need at least forty-five minutes of cardio-vascular exercise for optimal results. The same study claimed, however, that should we exceed forty-five minutes, no additional benefit accrues! Being somewhat of a slacker myself, I try not to exceed forty-five minutes. The Diamond Valley Lake circuit requires MORE than forty-five minutes, as I found on a recent ride around the lake.
