Burglary Arrest

On Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 5:45 AM, deputies assigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the 8700 block of Mission Boulevard, in the city of Jurupa Valley, regarding a burglary in-progress. When deputies arrived, the suspect fled to a nearby property. A perimeter was established in the area southeast of Mission Boulevard and Pedley Road. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau and K-9 Team responded to assist in the apprehension. After several hours, Matthew Andrew Gibbs, a 28 year-old resident of Highland, was located and taken into custody. Gibbs was later booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for burglary and felon in possession of a firearm.
