On May 29, 2022, at 1:20 a.m., deputies from the Southwest Sheriff’s Station responded to a business in the 31000 block of Temecula Parkway, Temecula, for a burglary in progress. Deputies arrived within two minutes and located the suspect running from the business. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended without incident. The suspect was identified as Michael Terry Washington, a 38-year-old, resident of Oxnard, California. Washington was arrested for burglary and possession of burglary tools. All of the stolen merchandise was recovered by the deputies and returned to the business owner. Washington was booked into custody at the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
