Traveling Thieves Targeting Vulnerable Community Members
In the month of February, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office has seen an increase in jewelry thefts with similar circumstances. In most cases, vehicles occupied by at least two subjects, will approach patrons in public parking lots and either ask for directions or attempt to sale jewelry.

On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 3:15 PM, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station (Norco) responded to the 3800 block of Pedley Avenue, in the city of Norco, regarding a suspicious person.
Stalking and Attempted Murder Suspects Apprehended
On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 2:53 a.m., deputies responded to the 45300 block of Garden Square, Palm Desert, regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. The investigation revealed both victims were followed to the location by two suspects, 18-year-old Jorge Morales and 19-year-old Jayden Garcia, residents of Cathedral City.
Battery Investigation
As a result of this ongoing investigation, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station identified the suspects as a 17-year-old juvenile and two 15-year-old juveniles, all residents of Riverside.
