In-Custody Death Investigation
On Sunday, February 5, 2023, at about 1:58 P.M., deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department-Robert Presley Detention Center were conducting a security check of a housing unit and found an unresponsive male inmate in a cell.

On Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 12:21 AM, deputies from the Palm Desert Station responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 69500 block of Dillon Road in the unincorporated area of Desert Hot Springs.
Shooting at Populated Shopping Destination
On February 2, 2023, at approximately 2:00 PM, deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff's Station responded to a populated shopping area in the 72-800 block of Hwy 111 in the city of Palm Desert reference shots fired. Deputies arrived and determined a shooting had occurred.

On Friday, February 3, at 7:00 AM, Gang Task Force Officers from Region 2 served multiple search warrants in the cities of Beaumont, Calimesa, and Cherry Valley in regards to an ongoing drug sales investigation.
