Stolen Vehicle Recovery / Weapons and Narcotic Arrest
On February 12, 2022, at 5:00 P.M., the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of Thermal Station patrol deputies, and a Sheriff K-9 Deputy, responded to a storage facility, located in the 78-100 block of Avenue 42, Bermuda Dunes, regarding an ongoing narcotic investigation.
Fatal Traffic Collision
On February 12, 2022, about 2:58 AM deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Moreno Valley Station, were driving west on Sunnymead Boulevard, east of Heacock Street, when they saw a pedestrian lying unresponsive in the roadway.
Homicide
On August 24, 2021, about 5:58 PM, Southwest Station Deputies were dispatched to a call of an unresponsive male adult in the 30000 block of Benton Street, Winchester. Upon deputies' arrival, it was determined a 27 year old adult male was deceased.
Coroner identifies 19-year-old man killed in deputy-involved shooting in Coachella
The Riverside County Coroner's Office has released the identity of the man killed in a deputy-involved shooting a few weeks ago in Coachella.
Homicide
On February 8, 2022, Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit continued their investigation. A 16 year-old Hispanic male, resident of Oasis was booked into Juvenile Hall for murder. The investigation remains on-going.
