Distributing Harmful Matter to a Minor
Beginning in November 2021, Investigators with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department launched an investigation into allegations that Banning Police Officer Christopher Sayeski was involved in distributing harmful matter to a minor.
Gang Member Arrested for Illegally Possessed Firearm During Search Warrant
On Tuesday, February 16th, 2022, at 7:00 A.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force served a search warrant at a residence located in the 31000 block of Avenida Valdez in Cathedral City. During the service of the search warrant, Gang Task Force Officers located a .40 caliber semi-auto handgun. The serial numbers to the handgun had been altered and were unreadable.
Operation Reclaim and Rebuild 2022
The Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force (RCAHT) in partnership with the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team, Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, Lake Elsinore Special Enforcement Team, Temecula Metro Team, Riverside County Gang Task Force Region 6, Riverside Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations effected thirty eight arrests during a nearly week-long proactive enforcement operation that targeted online prostitution and those whose demand for these unlawful activities fuels an illicit underground economy, both locally as well as across the State of California.
Methamphetamine and Firearm Seized During Warrant Service
On February 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m., members of the Murrieta/Temecula Regional Gang Task Force (Region 4) served a search warrant at a residence in the 26100 block of Truelson Avenue in the unincorporated area of Hemet.
Possession and Transportation of Methamphetamine for Sale
On February 13, 2022, at 8:35 PM, deputies from the Colorado River Station conducted a traffic enforcement stop on the I-10 near Mesa Drive, in the unincorporated area of Riverside County. During a probation/parole compliance search, approximately 10 pounds of pre-packaged methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle.
