On Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 12:01 pm, Thermal Station deputies responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery at the Truck Stops of America (TA Truck Stop) in the 46000 block of Dillon Road, Coachella. The victim reported she saw a male stealing her laptop bag from the trunk of her vehicle.
On December 18, 2021, at about 6:24 p.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff Station responded to the 2100 block of N. Perris Blvd., regarding a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies arrived within minutes and located an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds in front of a business.
On December 18, 2021, about 4:01 AM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Southwest Station, responded to the report of a major injury traffic collision near the Promenade Temecula Mall in the city of Temecula. Deputies learned the collision involved a single vehicle and a pedestrian.
Palm Desert Station Burglary Suppression Unit (BSU) conducted further investigation regarding two commercial burglaries that occurred on November 06, 2021, at a local resort in Rancho Mirage. BSU identified Ramiro Talavera, 30 of Cathedral City, as the suspect in these burglaries.
