Fatal Traffic Collision
On December 2, 2021, about 4:06 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Moreno Valley Station, responded to the report of a major-injury traffic collision on Alessandro Boulevard, west of Heacock Street, in the city of Moreno Valley.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest
On December 3, 2021, at 11:15 hours, members of the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) and patrol deputies, assigned to the contract city of Coachella, responded to the area of Cesar Chavez and Calle Rojo regarding a disturbance. It was discovered an altercation took place between two subjects regarding a stolen bicycle.
Homicide
On December 3, 2021, Investigators from Central Homicide Unit arrested Benjamin Briones, 60-year-old resident of Thousand Palms for the homicide of Jean Grace Willrich. Briones is a self-employed pool service man.
Male Teen Victim Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Lake Park Drive
Friday afternoon, a 15-year-old boy was killed in a motorcycle accident on Soboba Road.
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 12:10 p.m., just south of Lake Park Drive. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
Homicide
On Friday, November 26, 2021, at 1:51 AM, deputies responded to a business in the 4000 block of N. Perris Boulevard in Perris for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies arrived within minutes and located an unconscious adult male with traumatic injuries. Despite life-saving efforts by deputies and medical personnel, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as 25-year-old George Torres from Moreno Valley.
