Sexual Assault of a Child

On Wednesday, September 15th, 2021, Hemet Investigators received information that a staff member of the San Jacinto Unified School District was implicated in an inappropriate relationship with a minor within the school district. Before any investigation could be conducted, the school district placed the employee on administrative leave. Deputies and Investigators from the San Jacinto station immediately began investigating the case.

Child Abduction / Missing Person

On September 17, 2021, deputies responded to a reported suspicious circumstance near the area of Sunnymead Ranch Parkway and Village Road, Moreno Valley. An out of state relative of Mariella (Pricilla) Costello, a previously unreported missing person, reported Pricilla was dropped off on Village Road on 09/16/21, by her boyfriend Nicholas Zeko (34 years old, 5’11” 205 lbs). No one has heard from her since 09/16/21.

Illegal Firearm and Controlled Substance Arrest

On September 18, 2021, at 11:53 PM while on proactive patrol, the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team/Gang Unit saw Julio Barrera-Villa sitting in a parked vehicle at Sunnymead Boulevard and Heacock Street in Moreno Valley. Deputies know Barrera-Villa is on Post Release Community Release and subject to search. During a search of his vehicle deputies located two grams of methamphetamine and an empty rifle magazine. Deputies took Barrera-Villa into custody and conducted a follow up search at his residence. During this search deputies located an unregistered rifle.

Search Warrant / Narcotics Sales and Firearms Manufacturing

On September 17, 2021, about 12:00 PM, Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Problem Oriented Policing Team, responded to the 15000 block of Ninya Ave. reference a search warrant related to narcotics sales and firearms manufacturing. During the service of the warrant, approximately 30.4 grams of methamphetamine, 1 pound of marijuana, $2,510 in cash and other items indicative of narcotics sales were located. Also located were five AR-15 style rifles and one semiautomatic handgun. All firearms were unregistered and had no serial numbers. In the garage a 3D mill was located which was being used to manufacture the rifles.

Weapons/Counterfeit Money Search Warrant

On September 17, 2021, the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team (SET) served a search warrant in the 21400 block of Apricot Lane, in the city of Wildomar. During the service of the search warrant, several firearms (to include a California non-compliant rifle), body armor and items commonly used to manufacture firearms, were located. Also located were items commonly used to create counterfeit money. The suspect was identified as Patrick Kirk, 30 years old, a resident of Wildomar, CA whom was arrested and eventually transported to Cois Byrd Detention Center and booked on multiple charges.
