Deputy Involved Shooting
On Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 10:38 p.m., while on duty, a Riverside Sheriff’s Hemet Station deputy was pumping gas in his sheriff's vehicle at a business in the area of Meridian Street and Florida Avenue in Hemet. The deputy was alerted to a suspect standing on the sidewalk holding a handgun.
