Tuesday's meeting covered a broad range of activities. There was a focus on new development in Hemet. There is real energy and excitement about the new housing developments coming in. This council is determined to move forward in terms of accountability and most importantly, new development in Hemet.

COVID-19 sure turned Hemet upside down, but as the Riverside County colors become lighter, Florida Avenue is red hot and raring to go. Last week we caught up with downtown Hemet. This week we sauntered out to the west side hinterlands to see what happened Friday night when Riverside County was reduced to Orange, giving the go-ahead for restaurants and bars to allow 50% occupancy. Let’s take the two most popular venues on the west end of Hemet.

Riverside County to advance into state’s orange reopening tier Wednesday

The State of California announced that Riverside County will move into the orange tier of the state’s reopening framework Wednesday (April 7). The move is based on meeting a statewide goal to administer 4 million vaccines in disadvantaged communities, and the subsequent loosening of the case rate threshold to move into the orange tier.

SOBOBA CELEBRATES EASTER AND SPRING BREAK

The Easter Bunny greeted Soboba Tribal Preschool students as they took a socially distanced walk outside the building on April 2. With an enrollment of 76 students from ages two through six, the staff prepared treats for all the students and siblings who attended between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
