On Sunday, December 18, 2022, at 10:20 PM, a San Jacinto deputy traveling northbound on South San Jacinto Avenue, discovered a male subject laying on South San Jacinto Avenue, just south of Midway Street. The deputy immediately began rendering medical aid, however, despite life-saving efforts, the subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of a Chevrolet Suburban immediately came forward and identified herself as an involved party in the traffic collision. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. A preliminary investigation revealed the Chevrolet Suburban was traveling northbound on South San Jacinto Avenue when it collided into a pedestrian riding a scooter in the roadway, on South San Jacinto Avenue. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries as a result of the traffic collision and has been identified as Arthur St Clair, a 35-year-old male resident of Norco. South San Jacinto Avenue, between Commonwealth Avenue and Menlo Avenue, was closed during the investigation.
