On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, personnel from the Cabazon Station conducted a traffic stop in the 50000 Block of Main Street for a California Vehicle Code Violation. A probation search of the vehicle yielded multiple firearms and narcotics. Jeremy Abshear, 46, of Desert Hot Springs was taken into custody without further incident. Approximately ½ pound of narcotics, five firearms, and a homemade zip gun were recovered. Abshear was arrested and later booked into the Larry Smith Correctional Facility.
