On Monday, July 4, 2022, at 9:30 PM, while working Fourth of July festivities in the city of San Jacinto, deputies were notified of a report of indecent exposure near the Valley-Wide Recreation and Park. Witnesses reported a male who exposed his genitalia in public view in the area of Esplanade and Palm Avenues.

Surveillance camera footage corroborated statements provided by the witnesses. On Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 6:37 PM, deputies conducted a follow-up investigation which ultimately led to the arrest of Nazar Akbari, a 39-year-old resident of Temecula. He was booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center in the city of Murrieta for indecent exposure. The city of San Jacinto takes crimes such as these seriously and encourages any additional victims, or anyone with information regarding this incident, to contact Deputy Mike Vasquez at the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station, 951-654-2702.
