Date:

Diana Serrano is offering a non-certificated American Heart Saver CPR/AED course on May 23. She will teach three classes from 8-10 a.m., 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2-4 p.m. at Hands of Mercy Day Spas, 463 W. Esplanade Ave. in Hemet, across the street from Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District Regional Park.

Learn how to identify the need to perform CPR, perform chest compressions and rescue breathing, how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator) and how to help a choking victim.

Cost is $30, with all proceeds benefiting the Let Them Be Little Feline Rescue nonprofit organization www.ltblrescue.org.

Serrano said there will be giveaways and some adoptable cats and kittens throughout the day, along with baked goods and refreshments for sale.

She said these classes are for those who want to learn basic skills such as families that have pools or babysitters of all ages. For those that need a certificate, she will hold separate classes at a different cost.

To register for a class or for more information, contact Diana Serrano at 951-201-0424 or [email protected].

Classes are open to those age 10 and older. There is a non-refundable $10 registration fee to reserve a spot.
