MVUSD Teacher Arrested for Public Intoxication

Details:

On December 9, 2023, at 10:25 a.m., deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the 13000 block of Nason Street, in Moreno Valley, regarding a report of a teacher being intoxicated while on school grounds.  A parent notified school administration a teacher conducting Saturday school was possibly under the influence. Saturday school consisted of at least twenty-five students. The teacher was later identified as 30-year-old Salvador Martinez.

Based on statements made by Martinez, as well as his behavior, Martinez was arrested for public intoxication and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Martinez was transported and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center.
