TEMECULA, CA— Pechanga Resort Casino held a special banquet lunch for homeless veterans at the U.S. VETS campus in Riverside on Veterans Day this year, the Pechanga Development Corporation announced in a recent news release.
The banquet, held at the U.S. VETS Inland Empire chapter at their March Veterans Village, is part of Pechanga’s ongoing commitment to community giving and veteran support, a spokesperson said. The vets received a warm meal and meaningful recognition as they work to get past homelessness. U.S. VETS, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending veteran homelessness, operates the Riverside campus to provide housing, case management, and supportive services to veterans in need.
Pechanga Board Officer Ken Perez spoke to the former service men and women about the incredible sacrifices they made for the country and for everyone around them, and how each and every one of them is so appreciated.
“It is our honor and privilege to serve those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom,” Perez said. “On this Veterans Day, we want to ensure that our veterans know they are valued, appreciated, and supported by their community. Pechanga is committed to making a difference in the lives of veterans, and this banquet is one meaningful way we can give back.”

Pechanga Team Members who volunteered throughout the event assisted with meal service, setup, and guest hospitality, the release states. The initiative reflects Pechanga’s commitment to community engagement and its acknowledgment of the distinct challenges faced by veterans transitioning back to civilian life.
Penelope Sachs, Development Manager from U.S. VETS spoke on the effort.
“We are incredibly grateful to Pechanga for their generous support and commitment to our veterans,” Sachs said. “Events like this not only provide a nutritious meal but also remind our veterans that their community stands with them. Having Pechanga here to provide their world-class service at this event really makes a huge impact for the veterans we’re serving.”
The Veterans Day banquet is part of Pechanga’s broader community giving initiatives, which focus on supporting local organizations and causes that align with the Tribe’s enduring values of strength, wisdom, longevity, and determination.
