On October 14, 2021, at 3:20 P.M., the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force (CVVCGTF), with the assistance of the Coachella Community Action Team, served a search warrant at a residence located in the 81-800 block of Sirocco Avenue in the city of Indio. During the service of the search warrant, Gang Task Force Officers located a loaded firearm, ammunition, and recovered a stolen off-road vehicle. Convicted felon and documented criminal street gang member, Luis Enrique Reyes, 30 of Indio, was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of a stolen vehicle, and committing a felony while out on bail Reyes was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in the city of Indio.
