Search Warrant Results in Arrest for Narcotics Sales and Illegal Weapons Possession

On Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 9:30 A.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force with the assistance of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) served a search warrant at a residence in the 900 block of Arroyo Vista Drive in Palm Springs. During the service of the search warrant Gang Task Force Officers located suspected cocaine, body armor and multiple illegally possessed firearms including an SKS Rifle, AR-15, 12-Gauge Shotgun and a 9mm Semi-Auto Handgun. They arrested Cristhian Omar Hernandez Castillo, a 32-year-old resident of Palm Springs for Possession of Cocaine for Sales, Possession of Firearms with Narcotics, Altering Firearm Serial Numbers, and Illegal Possession of Assault Rifles. Hernandez Castillo was subsequently booked at John Benoit Detention Center in Indio.

Additionally, Juan Francisco Hernandez Castillo, a 39-year-old resident of of Palm Springs was taken into custody by ICE for an outstanding Illegal Re-entry Immigration Warrant.
