File # S221940026 / S221940034 / S221940032

Details:

On Monday, August 8, 2022, at 7:00 P.M., the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team conducted further investigation into four burglaries that occurred on July 13, 2022, within the city of Rancho Mirage. The investigation revealed all four burglaries were committed by the same suspect by kicking in a door to gain entry into the residence. Members of the Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team identified the suspect as Juan Rodriguez, a 31-year-old resident of Cathedral City. Rodriguez was interviewed and confessed to all four burglaries. Rodriguez is currently in custody at the John Benoit Detention Center for a parole violation and burglary charges.

The Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team, as well as all members of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, have zero tolerance for suspects interrupting the livelihoods of the residents in our communities. Suspects will be apprehended and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for committing crimes and burglarizing homes in our county. Anyone with additional information regarding these cases is encouraged to contact Deputy Earley or Deputy Kelly of the Palm Desert Station at 760-836-1633 or 760-836-1623.
