Fugitive Arrest

On January 15, 2021, at 8:10 P.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), conducted an occupied vehicle check in the desert area north of Vista Del Norte and west of Dillon Road in the city of Coachella. Ezequiel Ortega Nava, 46 of Thermal, was found to be armed with a firearm and fled from deputies into a palm field.

Felon in Possession of a Firearm

On Thursday, December 31, 2020, at 4:59 PM, Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop at Ramsey Street and Sunset Avenue in the city of Banning. During the traffic stop it was discovered the driver, Jason Hammer a 42-year-old resident of the city of Banning, was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Felon in Possession of a Firearm

On Saturday, January 2nd, 2021, at 6:34 P.M., members of the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force Region 6 conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Jarvis Street, in the city of Perris. Deputies contacted Mark Trammel, a 27-year-old resident of Perris. Deputies discovered Trammel was on probation for possession of a firearm.

Possession of a Concealed Firearm in a Vehicle – October 11, 2020

On Sunday, October 11, 2020, at 2:57 A.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team conducted an occupied vehicle check in the 24000 block of Sunnymead Boulevard, in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies contacted, Michael Winns, a 29-year-old resident of Moreno Valley and documented criminal street gang member. Winns gave deputies consent to search his vehicle. A subsequent search of Winns’ vehicle revealed a loaded semi-automatic handgun underneath the driver’s seat.

Felon in Possession of a Firearm – October 9, 2020

On Friday, October 9, 2020, at 9:48 P.M., members of the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team conducted an occupied vehicle check in the 23000 block of Sunnymead Boulevard, in the city of Moreno Valley. Deputies contacted Justin Kroeplin-Greer, a 23-year-old resident of Moreno Valley. Deputies determined Kroeplin-Greer was on probation for vehicle theft. A subsequent search of Kroeplin-Greer’s vehicle revealed a 12-gauge shotgun, ammunition, and several grams of Methamphetamine.
